Your pool is an asset that costs as much as a car. Would you only use your car for half the year?
A: We calculate this based on a range of factors including your pool’s surface area, volume and features as well as your desired temperature and running times. We’ll run a thermal analysis to ensure you get a unit that will meet your needs.
Most heat pumps will continue to work efficiently to about 10°C, but will still work even below 0°C. As long as the heater as been appropriately sized for your pool, you will still be able to enjoy a warm pool.
The answer depends on a range of factors including run-time, air temperature, whether you are running a solar PV system or using an off-peak tariff for your pool's electricity.
You don't need a pool cover, but we highly recommend it. A pool cover reduces heat loss by more than 50% which means with a pool cover you can acheive the same outcome with a smaller unit saving you money upfront and on running costs.
